Hi NSnakeyes, Like grover said, it may not be a ground for visa refusal. but you must undergo the 2 months medication. madelay man kayo ng 2-3 months, may time pa kayo magplano at i-enjoy ang buhay-pinas. the embassy doc will be advised of your PTB kaya nga mag-memedication ka. after 2 months you have to repeat x-rays. then once you have finally passed the medical exams, your papers will be endorsed to the visa officer. and the VO does not have to ask you about the TB infection. almost all of the time, passing the medicals results in visa issuance in around 2-3 months. should the VO require an interview, it maybe about concerns other than the medical tests.

Hi Nsnakeeyes,
let me put it this way: a) the Canadian govt will only allow you to enter its borders only if they are sure that you are fully cured and will not infect any other person in Canada b) as for yourself, being completely cured means you are guaranteed to be physically and medically fit to work in order to sustain your and your family's needs.
consider that the 6-months of delay (due to treatment) is a blessing in disguise. six months is not a long time to allow you to have more opportunity to share & cherish your time in the philippines with beloved families and friends, as well as time to prepare for departure and perform duties/responsibilities related to leaving your affairs behind. you are welcome

hello simonmag, now, I am doing the things of what the DMP said. Nice to hear from your encouragement. I spend time with my family right now and cherish the moments in preparing things and ideas while we are here. Gods bless you guys. Hope to see you soon in Canada. Salamat talaga.

Hi guys, I'm newbie here. I had my sputum test last oct. 5,6 and 7 then oct. 8 sputum result, negative ako but need to provide old xray before oct 15 kung wala forward nila yon partial result sa embassy. tapos wait for sputum culture sa dec. 8. kung wala ako maprovide ng x-ray before oct.15 need to have x-ray again dec.29 sa slmec. my questions po ako 1) nagbibigay po ba ang embassy ng visa maski partial pa lng binigay ng slmec na result this oct.15? 2) kung natapos ko yon xray sa dec.29 ilan days or months pa hintayin namin para mabigyan ng visa? thank you po!

hi! newbie here. i had my medical at nationwide, my xray was done twice since may nakita daw ang doctor...yearly, we had our xray sa office kaya confident ako na my results will be okay, pero hindi ganun ang nagyari...
ano usually ang manyayari or ang next step, sputum test na ba agad? or treatment?
dapat ko na ba inform ang embassy na hindi pa ako makapagsubmit ng medical result ko or wait ko muna kung ano pa next step ang sasabihin ng medical...
hope somebody will answer my queries, i'm really feeling down right now, natatakot ako na baka hindi na me maissuehan ng visa because of this....

2 weeks after your 2nd x=ray, Pag di sila tumawag that means clear ka na. Kami pina-repeat xray din eh before we went to Nationwide, nagpa-xray na ko sa labas at normal naman. pagdating dun , may nakita daw and have to verify kaya they asked us to underfo anotherview of chest x-ray pero after that, di na sila tumawag. Malamang ganun din yung sa yo.
